The formula
Tiles = area ÷ ((tile length + joint) × (tile width + joint)) × (1 + waste)

Tips before you order
- Keep a few spare tiles from the same lot for future repairs.
- Large-format tile (15 in and up) needs a flatter substrate and a larger trowel notch.
