The formula
Linear feet = perimeter − doorways
Pieces = linear feet × (1 + waste) ÷ piece length

Tips before you order
- Long pieces mean fewer joints — buy 16 ft lengths if you can transport them.
- Use the same calculation for shoe molding and crown.
